, Married 5/2014

Walter and I found each other on Plenty of Fish. I actually messaged him first because I liked what I had seen and read. I normally never ever make the first move in getting to know someone. So, when he responded my heart just about stopped. We both have had our share of bad relationships, and I was all for taking things really slow out of fear of being hurt and he was ok with that and was willing to be patient with me. Though things turned out different then what we had agreed on at first. Our relationship ended up moving quicker then either of us thought it would. Due to some issues that came up my son and I was left without a place to live not even a month into our relationship. Without question or any hesitation he brought us both in. Things just got better and stronger from there. February of 2014 he started talking about what kind of wedding he would want and who he would invite. I told him before he starts planning a wedding we might want to discuss the engagement and everything first. He wanted a Star Wars wedding which I was cool with. He just looked at me and told me to find a date that would have some relation to Star Wars and we would get married that day. So, May 4th, 2014 (May the fourth be with you) we got married. No, there was no official proposal or anything of the sort, but I was ok with that. My husband and I are not fully traditional on a lot of things, but in the end we both love each other and to us that is all that mattered. Had it not been for Plenty of Fish I doubt the two of us would have ever met, and every day I am thankful for that. I have not only my husband, but my best friend.
